WHAT MAKES HERITAGE TEA BETTER?
Heritage Tea ensures that its teas delivered to our vendors and customers are of the highest quality for the longest shelf life. Teas are divided into 4 major classifications: Low Quality, Medium Quality, Good Quality and Seasonal Quality, the highest level of quality for commercially available teas. Heritage Teas are all of Seasonal Quality, meaning they are sourced from their respective areas during their peak seasons (usually only 3-5 weeks / year.)
Additionally, all Heritage Teas are stored in Advanced Atmospheric MAAV-P Vac-Pacs® that enables the teas to stay in their top Seasonal Quality state until packaged for delivery to the customer, ensuring a long shelf life at peak quality. Many other specialty or traditional tea companies do not take this extra step to ensure quality and consistency.
WHAT ARE HERITAGE TEA’S SAFETY ACCREDITATIONS?
Heritage Tea only sources its teas from companies that have achieved or surpassed our rigorous safety and manufacturing requirements:
Heritage Tea
requires the Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP) designation which is an internationally recognized and
annually audited program that governs all facets of manufacturing from washing
of hands to cleaning equipment.
The C-TPAT or Customs Trade Partners Against Terrorism
program is followed which is a voluntary cooperative relationship between the
US CBP and businesses formed to strengthen overall supply chain safety,
including providing the ability to track and trace all teas and herbs
The HACCP or Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
accreditation which is an international food safety program requiring the
continual monitoring operations critical to food safety.
